Position Title

Entry-Level Outdoor Maintenance Worker

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Outdoor Maintenance Worker to assist with general property upkeep and Outside Fiber Plant utility maintenance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and supporting day-to-day operations in both property management and telecommunications infrastructure. No prior experience is required; we will train the right candidate.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Scale: $16.00 – $25.00 per hour
  • Position Type: Seasonal (Full-Time hours), Hourly

Responsibilities

  • Perform general outdoor property maintenance and clear debris around Outside Fiber Plant infrastructure.
  • Assist with the inspection, cleanup, and basic maintenance of outdoor fiber equipment and job sites.
  • Safely operate outdoor maintenance equipment, including trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
  • Manage seasonal outdoor tasks, vegetation control, and property cleanup.
  • Lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Use mobile devices or computers for scheduling, time tracking, and team communication.
  • Strictly follow company safety procedures and properly maintain tools and equipment.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently, working productively both independently and with a team.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license (with a clean driving record preferred).
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites, and a history of dependable attendance.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, light rain).
  • Comfort learning to operate basic outdoor power equipment.
  • Basic computer or smartphone literacy for digital scheduling and work tracking.
  • Flexibility to work shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM (typically 40 hours per week), including occasional weekends.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in outdoor maintenance, landscaping, utilities, or telecommunications is a plus, but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with basic hand tools.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Good time management and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and follow safety protocols.

Work Environment

  • 100% outdoor work environment subject to seasonal weather changes.
  • Physical labor including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and equipment operation.
