Lyndon Township ISP Transition Update

ACD will be reaching out to all subscribers with transition details. Please be on the lookout for contact by US mail and/or telephone as well as updates at this website: https://lyndontownshipmi.gov/transition/

We are writing to provide an update on the transition to our new internet service provider (ISP) ACD.NET.   If you have not had the opportunity to review previous information about the transition, you can find that and as series of FAQs here:

https://lyndontownshipmi.gov/transition/

We recognize that transitioning to a new ISP may raise some concerns.   We want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.  A few key points to remember about the transition are that the cost for service will remain the same, the equipment in your home will remain in place and there will be minimal service disruption.

We are pleased to report that we have made significant progress in the transition process.  All with great support and effort from ACD.  A key first step was designing a comprehensive migration plan to ensure a smooth and minimally disruptive transition for township residents.

Infrastructure assessment, technical setup of  hardware and software configuration are nearing completion.  This work is critical to ensure network and hardware compatibility between the township and ACD systems.  Work is also being finalized to integrate current township fiber connections with ACD’s core network fiber ring to provide optimal, reliable service.

In the coming weeks, you will receive more detailed information regarding the transition:

  • ACD will be reaching out to all subscribers with transition details. Please be on the lookout for contact by US mail, telephone as well as updates at this website: https://lyndontownshipmi.gov/transition/
  • Information on transfer of telephone service for those subscribed to that service.  Each of us that has subscribed for telephone service will need to authorize having our telephone numbers moved to our new provider.  If you are subscribed to the telephone service, you will be contacted on how to complete this process.
  • Contact information for support should you encounter any issues during transition.

After April 1, MEC will no longer be adding new users. Any new  subscribers should contact the township at (734) 475-2401 or via email at: officemgratlyndon@gmail.com.

We understand the importance of keeping you informed throughout this transition and will continue to provide updates on our website as well as postings on the Chelsea Updater.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this period of transition.
